Updataroonie!
Right, lets give you a bit of a more substantial update than the two or so lines I posted yesterday.
Firstly, I had a lovely Christmas at my parents which consisted of too much food which when I came back home played havok with my stomach ugh, but you don’t want to know that! hehe. I had lots of great presents and my favourite was the new phone my boyfriend brought me - the fantastic HTC Hero which I must protest is the best phone I have ever owned. It’s my little hero! I was thinking of doing a pen drawing of it so I’ll post that in a few days. I also got to spend almost two weeks with my 3 year old niece. I don’t get to see her very often and it was nice to see how much she’s grown, physically and mentally.
After Christmas and New Years I unfortuantely had to come back to the real world. It’s alright being here in Cambridge but it means going back to the monotonous work life. I have some lovely friends where I work but at the end of the day it’s still just sitting in an office staring at a computer screen all day, with no hopes of progression or any chance to incorporate art into it. I’m hoping to change that this year by getting my art off the ground, but to do that I have to actually do a substantial amount of work… something I find hard to do. I’ll try my best!
That’s it really, not very exciting am I! :D
But as I sit here drinking my tea, gazing at my sketchbook that’s open on a newly doodled on page and updating you on my life, I wonder what this year will bring. Whether I’ll find the illusive determination I need to get me started and aimed in the right direction or if I’ll ever leave the work I’m stuck in for a more fulfilling one. Hopefully I’ll come back to this post next year with a smile on my face thinking ‘you know what I actually did it, I actually became an artist’.
