Sumi the Rabbit!
I had to go to the vets yesterday as Sumi (my rabbit) decided he wasn’t eating no matter how much I pushed the food in his face. He started eating while I was at work but I thought it best to take him to the vets just incase, as he has problems with his teeth. Anyway, the vet said his teeth are getting worse again. The spikes on his teeth which grow because he isn’t grinding them down normally are starting to curl in towards his tongue. This means another operation to trim them down as it can’t be done while he’s awake.
This will be Sumi’s third operation and it worries me everytime as rabbits and anesthetic don’t generally mix well. The vet said she’ll use less drugs this time so hopefully he’ll come out of it ok like always but I can’t help but wonder what if he doesn’t?
I’ve had him nearly 3 years now and I’d be lost with the little buggar!
